Pain Relief

We offer a holistic approach in our Madison office for pain relief. It is our goal to provide each patient with an individualized holistic plan for wellness and health through chiropractic care. Much pain relief can be achieved through this approach, as it addresses the true underlying condition as it brings healing and health to the body.

The musculoskeletal system is a complex system that is intricately tied into the nervous system. Due to the overlapping of these two systems, many adverse symptoms can occur if the spine is out of position. Some symptoms experienced can include numbness, tingling, dizziness and minor to extreme pain. Spinal adjustments bring corrections to the spine and remove pressure from the nerves and surrounding muscles.

Reinen Beyler Chiropractic provides chiropractic care for infants to seniors. We provide answers that go beyond simply treating the symptoms and we go after treating the cause. The result is long lasting pain relief. Visiting a general doctor who is untrained in chiropractic care often ends with medicine that masks the symptoms or an unnecessary surgical procedure. We offer an alternative that is beneficial to the entire body.

Our chiropractic doctors are trained to recognize minor misalignments and utilize a variety of tests to ensure that the true issue is found and treated. Our Madison clinical staff specializes in holistic care and is trained to recognize and locate spinal and muscular issues, as well as improper posture and habitual patterns that may be causing or connected to the negative symptoms being experienced. We do not simply treat the symptoms, but instead address the root cause. The end result is pain relief, the vanishing of symptoms and optimized health. We invite you to visit our Madison office and experience the difference found in chiropractic care.

Myofasical Release Technique

Myofasical release technique works on thesoft tissue in muscle and the fascia layers that cover the muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Soft tissue muscle work is done through taking the muscle through ROM (range of motion), while applying pressure on the muscle involved in order to break up adhesions. Why Muscle work? After trauma or micro trauma (over a long period) your body builds up fibrotic adhesions and toxins in the area of complaint causing a decrease in ROM, increased muscle soreness, formation of knots, and recurring spasms.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) muscle reeducation

PNF is done by stimulating proprioceptors, which are the receptors in the joint that communicate information about body position to the brain by way of the motor nervous system through sensory nerves. When the body is injured it will adapt or recruit muscle to add stability to the injured area, however, this puts added stress on the body which can cause the body's biomechanics to be altered, increasing joint pain.

PNF stretching is a series of contract-relax stretching patterns practiced in order to increase the patient's range of motion and flexibility. PNF stretching allows the muscle fibers to reset, which resets the brain to the new positioning of the muscle, allowing for greater ROM than before. Your brain is able to monitor the safety of your stretching as it can prevent you from over-stretching.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio taping adds stability to a muscle or joint and relieves pressure on nerves and blood vessels. Kinesio taping is great for increasing lymphatic flow, allowing toxins to leave the injured tissue faster, bringing fresh nutrients in to help recovery time. Kinesio taping helps reduce edema, pain, and instability in the affected area

Kinesio taping treats:

  • Any muscle strain of sprain,
  • Whiplash
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • TOS
  • Meniscus damage in the knee
  • Wrist / carpal tunnel
  • Back pain

Instrument Assisted Technique

Instrument assisted technique is used to reach the deep tissue of the muscle in order to break up adhesion in the muscle and release the toxin trapped in the muscle, which in turn will decrease your muscle aches and increase your range of motion and flexibility.
